PyCon US 2026 Recap

There are a few themes I saw at PyCon US: (1) Practical adoption of AI (2) Pin your dependencies, audit your packages / make security accessible to everyone (3) Traveling to the US was too high of a barrier to much of our community (4) To cut through the noise, companies are trying to reach us in person

PyCon 2023

I attended my first PyCon as the Treasurer of the Python Software Foundation and Python Community Advocate with Microsoft. It's also one of the few times I've stepped foot in the midwest. I gave a talk about Dev Containers on stage and helped host the Welcome Orientation.
